Hall, two-time world champion, out for remainder of NHL season due to knee surgery

Before “Chicago Blackhawks » Taylor Room has sat out the rest of the season due to a right knee injury, according to the National Hockey League (NHL) club’s website.

The 32-year-old Canadian will have surgery soon.

Hall was selected by the Edmonton Oilers with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft. He also played for the New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabers and Boston Bruins. In total, he played 832 games in the NHL and scored 697 points (266 goals and 431 assists). In 2018, the forward won the Hart Memorial Trophy.

As a member of the Canadian national team, Hall won gold twice at the world championships.

Chicago is in 15th place in the Western Conference standings with 10 points.
