The championship starts on Saturday, November 25
Ukrainian Hockey Federation announced the resumption women’s championshipwhich has not been carried out since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.
4 teams will take part in the upcoming season: Kyiv Capitals, Panthers (Kharkov), Pridneprovsk (Dnepr) And Sisters Kraken (Odessa). More details about the participants of the Ukrainian Women’s Hockey Championship can be found at FHU official website.
The first round of the championship is scheduled for November 25. Kyiv Capitals will play with Pridneprovsk in the capital’s Sports Palace, and the Kraken Sisters will meet with the Panthers in Odessa.
The national champion will be determined based on the results of the regular season, which will take place in four rounds. Each team will play 12 matches.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian women’s hockey championship of the 2021/22 season was not completed due to the invasion of the Russian Federation. Then 4 teams also played in the championship: Panthers, Queens of the Dnieper, Ukrainochka and Dnieper Belki.
Six teams are performing in the Ukrainian men’s championship 2023/24: Sokol, Kremenchug, Dnepr (Kherson), Kyiv Capitals, Trizub and Kharkov Berserkers.
