Russian attacker Alexey Potapov announced the end of his professional hockey career at the age of 34.
– Yes, it’s a difficult decision, but the time has come. This is probably enough,” Potapov said on the KHL TV channel’s “In touch” show.
Potapov played for the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, Kazan Ak Bars, Omsk Avangard, Chelyabinsk Traktor and the Moscow Dynamo. In total, he played 589 matches in the KHL and scored 102 points (49 goals and 53 assists). As part of Ak Bars and Avangard, he won the Gagarin Cup.
