Athletistic/Hockey. The NHL press service announced the names of the best players of the last matchday. At the top of the list was a Russian hockey player.
The first star of the day was Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. Last night, he scored 6 (2+4) points on the goal+pass system in the match against the Carolina Hurricanes (8:2). The 30-year-old Russian became the first forward in Lightning history to score six points in a single NHL game. Kucherov now leads the race of scorers and snipers in the NHL: based on the results of 20 matches, he has 35 (15+20) performance points.
The second star of the day was Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck. He stopped all 32 shots on possessions in a 3-0 win over the Florida Panthers. Another Tampa forward, Brayden Point, was recognized as the third star, scoring 5 (3+2) points for his performance. The Canadian is Nikita Kucherov’s liaison partner.
