Athletistic/Hockey. Former Chelsea and Czech Republic national football team goalkeeper Petr Cech has made his debut in the British Elite Hockey League (EIHL). Thus, the 41-year-old athlete became the first to play in the English top division, both in football and hockey.

The goaltender took the ice for the Belfast Giants in the third period, replacing the starting goaltender. His team beat Glasgow Clan 5-1, with Cech making a save.

Petr Cech, a 41-year-old goalie, made his debut in the British Hockey League. He is also known as the record holder for most clean sheets in the English Premier League (EPL). He played 494 matches for Chelsea in all competitions and 139 matches for Arsenal. The goalkeeper ended his football career in 2019.

The Belfast Giants are the fourth hockey team in the career of the former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper. Cech has previously played for Guildford Phoenix and Chelmsford Chieftains.
