Minnesota, for which the Russian striker plays Kirill Kaprizov , lost the last seven matches of the regular season. After this, Evason was removed as head coach.
Dean has done a great job at Minnesota, including as head coach. “I am very grateful to him for his hard work and dedication to our organization,” Minnesota general manager Bill Guerin said, as quoted by the Wilds’ official website.
Evason’s assistant, Bob Woods, also left Minnesota.
