Chicago, following an internal investigation, offered Corey Perry waivers in order to terminate his contract. Previously, the club’s management announced that the 38-year-old hockey player would be absent from the team in the near future, but did not specify the details. Reports surfaced on social media that Perry may have been suspended due to a sexual relationship with the mother of his teammate, 18-year-old 2023 first-round draft pick Connor Bedard.
