Athletistic/Hockey. Last night, the Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Arizona Coyotes (1:3) in an NHL regular season away game. During the meeting, Russian Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov almost caused a massive brawl.
In the third period, Kucherov made a brutal move on Arizona defenseman Sean Durzi, pushing him toward the boards. Because of this, the Coyotes hockey player lost his balance and fell to the ice. After that, Durzi’s teammates went to defend him, trying to “teach Nikita a lesson”, but here the Tampa players began to defend their leader. As a result, a fight took place between several hockey players, which, only with the help of the referees, did not escalate into a mass brawl.
As a result, Kucherov was punished with a small fine. It is noteworthy that already in the penalty box the Russian expressed his dissatisfaction with this decision of the judges, hitting the board several times with his stick.
Nikita Kucherov is currently the NHL’s top scorer. In 22 matches, he has 37 points in the goal+pass system – 15 goals scored and 22 assists.
