Athletistic/Hockey. Washington Capitals general manager Brian McLellan spoke about the return of Russian players to the team.

Remember that four Russian hockey players play in the team of the capital. They are Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov and goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov. Another player Alexander Alekseev is in the club’s system, but does not play in the first team.

“Obviously there is some uncertainty. But when I had a conversation with them, it sounded like they were positive about coming back to the NHL for the new season. I’m just leaving of their words. We’re confident they’ll come and play,” McLellan said.
