General director “Colorado » Joe Sakic noted that the Russian goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev will be the team’s primary goalkeeper, according to The Athletic.
The Rangers earned the 26-year-old Georgiev a third- and fifth-round NHL draft pick in 2022, as well as a fifth-round pick in 2023.
– We expect Georgiev to become the team’s main goalkeeper. I think that with Pavel Francouz they will form a great duo, — quotes the words of Sakic The Athletic.
Georgiev has played for the New York club since the 2017/18 season. In total, he played 129 games for the team in the NHL regular season and two games in the playoffs, scored 58 wins and kept the gate intact eight times.
Colorado is last season’s Stanley Cup winner.
