The Russian also achieved this figure, first among all hockey players in the league in the current championship, leading the scorer race (15 goals + 25 assists).
Kucherov surpassed the club feat of Canadian forward Steven Stamkos, who scored 40 points for Tampa in the 2010-2011 season in 25 games.
Over the past 20 years, the best result was posted by Edmonton forward Leon Draisaitl, who scored 40 points in 19 games in the 2021/22 season.
