NHL Club”Winnipeg Jets ” announced the extension of the contract with the team’s striker Nino Niederreiter.
The new agreement with the 31-year-old Swiss is for a period of three years and will come into effect from the 2024/25 season. During this period, Niederreiter will earn $12 million.
Niederreiter was selected fifth overall by the New York Islanders in the 2010 draft. The forward also played for the Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators. In total, the hockey player has 423 points (211 goals and 212 assists) in 833 games in the regular NHL championships.
As a member of the Swiss national team, Niederreiter became a two-time world championship silver medalist.
