Head coach of Vityaz Dmitry Ryabykin said that work at Avangard Omsk last season did not affect his future.
Last season, Ryabykin led “Avant-garde” , but was fired on October 10, 2022. After that, he worked as an assistant to Ilya Vorobyov at Metallurg and left the team on February 4. On October 8, Riabykin took charge of Vityaz.
— I like our trend at Vityaz, but I can’t say I’m happy with everything. There are aspects that we still need to improve. I’m probably still getting used to the new club. Somewhere it would be possible to improve the defense, but we do not have such an opportunity currently.
Personally, I had no worries when I accepted this position at Vityaz. I knew what I was getting into and I was sure this was my chance and I should take advantage of it. Was last season disruptive? No. I analyzed everything, drew conclusions and moved on. Why should he knock him out? This is life, this is the life of a coach, nothing supernatural happened,” Ryabykin said as quoted by “Championship”.
The Moscow region team led by Ryabykin occupies the last place in the Western Conference standings of the Fonbet Championship KHL .
