Attack Patrick Kane debuted with “Detroit” during the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season game against San Jose, reports the Red Wings press service.
The meeting will take place on December 7.
Kane signed with Detroit on November 29. The contract amount was $2.75 million.
In the summer of 2023, Kane underwent hip surgery and was an unrestricted free agent while recovering, missing the start of that season.
Kane was the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft. As a member of Chicago, he became a three-time Stanley Cup winner. In February 2023, the attacker was traded to the New York Rangers, whom he left at the end of the season.
In total, he played 1,180 matches in the regular season, in which he scored 1,237 (451+786) points. Among active NHL players, he ranks fourth in career points behind Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin.
