Kucherov became the author of the NHL record in the 21st century among wingers

Russian player Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Koucherov became the National Hockey League (NHL) record holder in the 21st century for the most points in the first 26 games of the season among wingers.

Kucherov scored a goal and had an assist in the regular season victory over Pittsburgh (3:1). The Russian has scored 44 (17+27) points in 26 matches since the start of the season. This result is the best among all NHL wingers in the 21st century during this game period.

Kucherov also finished the eleventh game in a row with at least one assist, the Russian hockey player set a Tampa record for this indicator.
