In the NHL regular season match against Dallas (4:5 B), Ovechkin scored an assist and became the first Russian in the NHL to reach the mark of 1,500 points in the league. To reach this mark, the Russian needed 1,370 matches, during which he scored 827 goals and made 673 assists.
