Athletistic/Hockey. The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the St. Louis Blues (5:2) last night at home in their next NHL regular season game. Russian hockey players contributed greatly to this success of the Jackets.

Striker Egor Chinakhov was recognized as the best player of the match. The 22-year-old Russian scored a double and an assist during the meeting with the Bluesmen. Interestingly, this season, Chinakhov now has 8 (5+3) points for his performance in 18 NHL regular season games.

The second star of the game was goalkeeper Jet Greaves. The Canadian goalkeeper for the Blue Jackets in this match managed to neutralize 41 out of 43 shots on his possessions.

The third star is another Russian forward from Columbus, Kirill Marchenko, who scored 2 (1+1) points in the goal+pass system. In 27 matches this season, he scored 16 points – he scored 9 goals and contributed 7 assists.

Note that Columbus striker Dmitry Voronkov also had an excellent match. He scored 2 (0+2) performance points, but was not among the top three players of the match.
