Finnish striker Jesse Puljujarvi signed a viewing contract with “Pittsburgh” reports the club’s press service.
The fourth overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft became an unrestricted free agent this offseason when Carolina did not extend him a qualifying offer.
The player underwent hip surgery this summer and only recently returned to training.
In the NHL, the Finnish forward also played for Edmonton. In total, he played 334 league matches and scored 114 (51+63) points.
Part of Finland’s youth and youth national teams, the striker became a world champion in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
