Russian attacker Carolina Hurricanes Andrei Svechnikov is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury, head coach Rod Brindamore said.
Svechnikov was injured Dec. 4 during the NHL’s regular season game against the Winnipeg Jets. Then the forward took to the ice in a game against the Edmonton Oilers. Subsequently, the Russian underwent an MRI and, as Brindamore noted, the images did not show very good results.
“He’ll be out for a while,” Carolina’s coach quotes.
This season, Svechnikov, 23, has scored one goal and provided 10 assists in 16 games.
