Athletistic/Hockey. On December 15, the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Edmonton Oilers (7:4) in another NHL regular season game. One of the standout players on the ice was once again Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov.
The 30-year-old Russian scored three points using the goal+pass system in the meeting with the Oilers – he scored one goal and two assists. Kucherov became the first hockey player in the current NHL season to reach the 50-point mark. He now has 20 goals and 30 assists. It only took him 30 matches to reach this peak.
Kucherov’s closest pursuer in the NHL scoring race is now Vancouver Canucks forward JT Miller, who has 43 points.
In their next game, Tampa will face the Calgary Flames. The meeting will take place early in the morning of December 17 (Moscow time).
