Vladimir Mashkov became ambassador for the development of hockey relations between Russia and India

“SKA Academy” and the “Red Machine Junior” school, under the auspices of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF), signed a protocol of cooperation with a multinational holding company created in India and engaged in the development of infrastructure, information technology, real estate and infotainment events.

The ambassador of the project was People’s Artist of Russia and Chairman of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation Vladimir Mashkov.

The memorandum was signed by SKA Academy Managing Director Roman Rotenberg and Sukrit Sharan, Advisor to the President of the Indian Society. As part of the cooperation, joint events are planned in the field of culture, sports and other areas, including the organization of festivals, matches and tournaments in field hockey, ice hockey and other sports. It is possible that as part of the partnership, a hockey and figure skating arena will be built in India with the support of a local company.

“It is a great honor for me to become the ambassador of such an important and relevant project. And what is especially important for me is that we will develop cooperation in the field of culture and sports, because Russian culture is an integral part of world culture and Russia is a recognized world leader in the field of ice Hockey. Our actors, artists and athletes are the idols of millions of people around the world.

Hockey is an important part of all Russian culture. Films about sports and hockey always arouse great interest among viewers. We were all raised on the successes of our hockey players, and actors and directors are no exception. Vysotsky sang about hockey, Yevtushenko wrote poetry. It is part of our cultural code.

Cooperation with Indian partners is extremely important. We are showing once again that a significant part of the world is on our side. Russia has always been generous and welcomed its friends with open arms. I am convinced that we have the power to make ice hockey no less popular with the Indian people than their favorite field hockey,” Mashkov said.

— Signing a cooperation protocol with CHAMPIONS Group is only the first step. We know how popular field hockey is in India. The matches attract a large audience. We should also focus on these attendance indicators. We will develop mutual sports and cultural exchanges, organize tournaments and joint events in Russia and India. Our Academy, Red Machine Junior School, has a wealth of experience and all the necessary skills. I am sure that the cooperation between SKA Academy, Red Machine Junior and CHAMPIONS Group will be long and productive. Champions must stick together! – said Rotenberg.
