Omsk”Avant-garde » extended the agreement with the goalkeeper Ilya Proskuryakov reports the press service of the hockey club.
The 36-year-old’s new contract is for one year.
— Ilya is an example of a professional attitude to business. He worked, waited for his chance and when he got on the ice, he added confidence to the entire team with his reliable play. It was not only his experience that helped him in this process. The way he communicates with his partners, gives his best in training, prepares for matches, shows a great desire to win. And that’s exactly what Avangard needs. In the future, we see in Ilya not only a reliable bottom line, but also a mentor for young goalkeepers in our vertical,” said Avangard General Director Anton Kuryanov.
This season, Proskuryakov played 13 matches for Avangard in the regular season of the Fonbet KHL Championship, in which he won seven victories in regulation time and one in shootouts with 94.8% reflected shots.
