The 38-year-old Russian has failed to score in 13 consecutive matches. So, Ovi updated his own anti-record. The last time Alexander was able to celebrate a goal was on November 19 in a home NHL game against the Columbus Blue Jackets (4:3).
In the current season in the NHL, Alexander Ovechkin scored 17 points in the “goal + assist” system in 28 matches – he scored five goals and completed 12 assists. In total, during his career in the North American League, the Russian has 1375 matches, 827 goals and 675 assists with an overall utility coefficient of “+63”.
Washington will face the New York Islanders in their next game. The meeting will take place on the night of December 21.
