The “Hockey on the Main Stage” gala dinner took place at the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg. His guests were players and coaches of the Russia 25 national team, veterans of national hockey, sponsors and partners of the Russian Hockey Federation, leaders of St. Petersburg and other regions of the Russian Federation.
Guests were able to experience an extensive cultural program including numbers from world-famous opera and ballet works: “The Nutcracker”, “Don Quixote”, “La Traviata”, “Carmen”.
As part of the gala dinner, a ceremony was held to present the “Hero of Hockey” award presented by the official partner of the Russian Hockey Federation and the Russian national team, the “Liga Stavok” bookmaker company. The prize was awarded in 12 categories:
“Most Valuable Player” – goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov
“Best newcomer” – striker Nikita Grebenkin
“For loyalty to hockey” – coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov

“Iron Man” (Best Defender) – Alexander Nikishin
“Top scorer” – striker Vasily Glotov
“To preserve the victorious traditions of the Russian national hockey team” – head coach of “Russia 25” Roman Rotenberg
“The greatest strides in development and achievements” (Best Academy for children and youth) – “Red Machine Junior” and SKA Academy.

— The Soviet Union team always went to the theater before the Izvestia Prize. We watched “The Nutcracker”, “Swan Lake”, went to the Taganka Theater, the Lenin Komsomol Theater, so this is not new for us, we have always had a cultural program. And it’s still a public holiday. And today the guys are having such a vacation – it’s very cool, the guys deserve it.

We will return to the Olympics, we will return to the Championships of the world, and now we must do everything to prepare our children for this.
