Defender of Togliatti Lada Mislav Rosandić said the bronze medal won at the 2022 Olympics in the absence of NHL hockey players still loses its value.
Rosandić won bronze at the Beijing Games with the Slovak national team; in the match for third place the team defeated the Swedes with a score of 4:0.
— Does the absence of NHL players at the 2022 Olympics make bronze less valuable?
— Yes, and you still have to win it (laughs). All the teams were in the same conditions, but we won bronze. Every medal is earned through hard work. A lot of things have to come together to win a medal. If anyone thinks this medal is worthless, I would like to see how they could get it (laughs). It was the first medal for Slovakia in 10 years. So it’s worth a lot. But people have different opinions on this issue, this cannot be changed,” Rosadić said, as quoted by the Championship.
