The 36-year-old Canadian scored 2 (1+1) points in the meeting with the “wilds” and rose to 13th place in points in the history of the NHL. Last night he overtook Mark Recchi. Sidney now has 1535 (568+967) points in the goal+pass system, while Recchi managed to score 1533 (577+956) points in his career.
A new reference point for Crosby is another legendary Canadian, Joe Thornton (1539=410+1169). The record holder in NHL history is Wayne Gretzky (2857=894+1963).
This season, Sidney Crosby played 30 games and scored 33 (18+15) performance points.
