On the authoritative North American sports portal Daily Faceoff, journalist Tyler Yaremchuk published an article highlighting the performance of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. The author believes that the Russian will not be the first to score 100 points this season in the NHL.
“I want to say that Kucherov will not be the first player to score 100 points this season. I think it will be either Nathan MacKinnon or Connor McDavid. The Tampa Bay Lightning have looked painfully gray this season. I understand and see that Kucherov does a lot of hard work, but the team’s power play continues to deteriorate as the season progresses, which I think will slow his pace.
It seems to me that McDavid will score points regularly and that Edmonton’s power play will remain just as solid. As for McKinnon, I love his role in Colorado,” Yaremchuk wrote.
Nikita Kucherov played 31 games in the NHL regular season this season and scored 52 (20+32) points in the goals and assists system. The 30-year-old Russian is now the top scorer in the championship. Nathan MacKinnon has 47 points (14+33) and McDavid currently has 41 (10+30) points.
