Athletistic/Hockey. Washington Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sandin expressed his opinion on the influence of the team captain, Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin, on the club’s play.

“He is extremely important for us. Ovechkin makes a big contribution on the ice, especially in his interactions with his teammates,” Sandin said in an interview with Expressen.

During the current regular season of the National Hockey League, Ovechkin participated in 29 matches in which he scored five goals and made 13 assists, scoring a total of 18 points. The last time Ovechkin scored was on November 19 in a home match against the Columbus Blue Jackets (4:3).
