Defender of the “Admiral” of Vladivostok Maxim Chudinov said that due to an injury suffered in 2019, he could have ended his career earlier.
In October 2019, Chudinov, who was then playing for Avangard Omsk, suffered a leg injury.
– Yes, this injury paralyzed me. I had good seasons before that, but that’s life, that’s sport. The main thing is that you experienced it. I spent a year recovering, then I started playing, but my knee was still swelling, complications developed, and then I had surgery again. As a result, I had three surgeries and had to miss a season completely. Then I started recovery again.
Of course, very serious injury, all the ligaments were torn. After the first recovery period, it was like you played five games and recovered for 10 games. I could have finished, but I found the strength in myself and continued to play hockey, ”Chudinov said at the Championship.
Chudinov is 33 years old, in the KHL he also played for Severstal, SKA, Ak Bars and Spartak, and won the Gagarin Cup three times.
