Vancouver’s Russian striker Andrey Kuzmenko scored twice. It is interesting that before today’s match the Russian spent a week in reserve without entering the ice. In the first episode, Kuzmenko received a transmission from Ilya Mikheev. A goal and an assist also came from Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes, who recorded the 69th time of his career with 2 or more points, becoming the leader in Vancouver history.
With the victory, Vancouver headed into the three-day Christmas break leading the league with 49 points in 35 games.
