The first period ended in favor of Colorado thanks to a goal from Bowen Byram in the ninth minute. In the second third of the match, the Avalanche hockey players added three more goals, the first of which, in the second minute of the period, was scored by Russian forward Valery Nichushkin. In the 57th minute of play, the visitors were able to open the score thanks to the efforts of Alexandre Kerfoot, who converted the majority.
The win was Colorado’s second in a row and third in the last four games. In turn, Arizona snapped its four-game winning streak with a loss at Denver.
