Omsk club Avangard defeated Siberia in overtime of the KHL championship match with a score of 3:2. “Sibir” took the lead twice thanks to goals from Sergei Dubakin and Andy Andreoff, but Avangard managed to rebound thanks to accurate shots from Ryan Spooner and Nikita Kholodilin. Andreoff and Kholodilin’s goals, scored late in the second period, were separated by just 11 seconds.

Avangard scored the game-winning goal in overtime when Reed Boucher sent the puck into the net. From the first seconds of extra time, the visitors played without their goalkeeper, managing to take advantage of the advantage of an additional field player.
