Russian attacker Alexander Khovanov signed a contract with Zhlobin Metallurg, reports the press service of the Belarusian club.
The 23-year-old striker’s deal with the new club runs until the end of the 2023/24 season. Shortly before the transfer, the hockey player terminated his contract with Tambov, which plays in the VHL.
In the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the forward was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the third round, 86th overall.
In 2020, Khovanov played 7 games for Ak Bars Kazan in the KHL. At the 2020 World Junior Championships, he became a silver medalist as part of the Russian national team.
