Russian attacker Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Koucherov scored his 300th goal in the National Hockey League (NHL).
On Wednesday, Tampa lost to the Florida Panthers (2:3) in an NHL regular season home game. The 30-year-old Russian spent 19 minutes 31 seconds on the ice and scored a goal, which became his 300th in the championship.
Kucherov became the 11th Russian in NHL history to reach this mark. To do this, he had to play 679 matches. The leader in the number of goals scored in the NHL among Russians is Washington forward and captain Alexander Ovechkin (828).
This season, Kucherov played 35 games and scored 58 (24+34) points. Tampa (39 points) occupies ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
