Attack Ilya Kovalchuk did not join the Moscow team “Spartacus” for the regular KHL championship match against Minsk “Dynamo” reports the press service of the “red-whites”.
The match between Dynamo and Spartak will take place on Thursday in Minsk, starting at 7:10 p.m. (Moscow time). Kovalchuk, 40, played two matches for Spartak in the KHL after his return: against Kunlun (5:2) and Torpedo (1:2 B). The striker has scored one goal in two matches.
Kovalchuk’s place in the second line of Spartak with Andrei Loktionov and Maxim Tsyplakov will be taken by Ilya Talaluyev .
Spartak leads the KHL Western Conference standings with 63 points, while the Minsk team is eighth with 40 points.
