Athletistic / Hockey. The Boston Bruins have recalled Russian forward Georgiy Merkulov from their AHL farm club. The 23-year-old forward will be able to play in the NHL.

This season, Merkulov played 31 games with Providence in the AHL. He scored 30 (14+16) points. The Russian is Providence’s top sniper, scorer and assist in the AHL this season.

Note that the 23-year-old forward has not yet made his NHL debut. In Boston, he replaced striker Patrick Brown, sent to Providence.
