Athletistic/Hockey. CSKA has had a bad run lately. The Moscow Army team lost four matches in a row after a break for the Russian national team. Sergei Fedorov’s team lost twice to SKA, as well as to Dynamo and Salavat Yulaev. Today, December 30, CSKA met with Severstal.

In the middle of the first period, Mikhail Grigorenko gave the army team the lead. Grigorenko entered the zone through the center. It seemed that his opponents had already covered him, but Mikhail suddenly fired a shot at the left “nine”. The puck ended up in the opposing net.

In the middle of the second 20 minutes, Maxim Mamin doubled the lead of the army team. He dispersed his team’s attack from the right and literally rolled the puck into the opposing net.

Five minutes later, Egor Stepanov pulled back a goal. He received the puck not far from the opposing goal. He shot at his opponent’s frame and managed to hit the target.

In the third period of the match, Vladislav Provolnev ended this match. Grigorenko passed the ball to his partner and Provolnev shot into the left corner. The puck ended up in the net.

So, CSKA beat Severstal with a score of 3:1. This is the Army team’s first victory since December 7. CSKA scored 50 points and ranks sixth in the KHL Western Conference standings.

CSKA fans reacted to this match result. They left comments in the official Red-Blue community on VKontakte.

Anar Gasimov:

Sergei Epishin:

– Happy victory!!! Thanks to the team for the New Year’s gift! Vanya was like a wall today!

Andrei Bogdan:

– Well done guys, you made a gift! Keep it up! There would be no incidents in the new year.

Alexander Alexander:

– We ended the year with a victory. This makes me happy. Welcome to all military personnel!!! Major victories await us next year!

Nikolai Pushkarev:

– Not without problems, but we won. In principle, with each game we add and it is no longer as dark as before. Today we looked good at even strength, but the majority looked strange. I don’t understand why they can’t calmly enter the opposing zone and settle there. Why does Okulov try to pass through the center every time to where the opponent is? These transmissions are constantly intercepted. Why pass without looking back in your own and someone else’s zone? Guys, things aren’t working out for you anyway, and you keep making up problems for yourself. Severstal are a good offensive team and it’s strange to hear that we should beat them easily. Especially when we ourselves are in crisis.
