Goalie Daniel Tarasov will be in the starting lineup “Columbus” during the NHL regular season game against the Buffalo Sabres, reports the Blue Jackets press service.
Tarasov will replace Elvis Merzlikins in goal, as the Latvian did not come to the match due to illness. The game will take place Friday in Buffalo.
The Russian missed the start of the 2023/24 season due to a knee injury. Tarasov has three matches and one victory in the regular season, the reliability coefficient is 4.39.
Columbus, with 31 points, occupies 15th place in the Eastern Conference standings, Buffalo (32) is one line higher.
