Former head coach of the Russian national hockey team Vladimir Pluschev told that the International Hockey Federation (IIHF) is trying to create some sort of activity.
Previously, the IIHF press service reported that the admission of the Russian and Belarusian national teams to competitions under the auspices of the IIHF depends on the possibility of holding the competition safely. It was also noted that key decisions will be made at the end of February.
— A good face against a bad match. Everything is completely different. Everything will be decided differently, by different authorities, at a different level. They try to create an appearance: they are supposed to be able to do something, to solve something. This is absolutely ridiculous. Everything that happens in international sport comes from one source,” Pliushchev told .
The national teams of Russia and Belarus have been suspended from international competitions for an indefinite period due to the situation in Ukraine since the end of February 2022.
