Triple world hockey champion Alexei Tereshchenko told that common sense should prevail when it comes to admitting the Russian national team to international competitions.
Earlier, IIHF President Luc Tardif said that the International Hockey Federation (IIHF) would consider on February 12-13 the admission of Russian teams to the competition.
“We hope that common sense will prevail, well, they are not idiots at all, although maybe they are idiots,” Tereshchenko told .
The national teams of Russia and Belarus have been suspended from international competitions for an indefinite period due to the situation in Ukraine since the end of February 2022.
