CSKA coach Fedorov: “We are far from ideal”

The head coach CSKA Sergei Fedorov after a home victory “Spartacus” said the start of the match left a lot to be desired and the team still had room to improve.

On Friday, CSKA defeated Spartak on their ice with a score of 3:1 in the regular season match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.

— To our team with victory. It was a difficult match, especially at the beginning. We found the keys to the opponent’s goal, scored important goals, but conceded an unnecessary goal. At the end of the match we played competently and left our goal intact. Thanks to the fans for their support.

— The team showed the hockey you want to see. Doesn’t it seem like all areas were played perfectly?

– We are far from ideal. The start of the match leaves something to be desired. During this break it was clear that the team was on the move, perhaps the excitement at the start of the match prevented us from doing so. We were able to overcome this anxiety and create great chances in the opposing goal.

– Kamenev has “2+1”. Have you guessed this attitude towards Spartak?

— Every player on our team wants to play well and have such statistics. Vlad was in the right place and had a great match. Happy for him. Vlad is our leader, he should always play like that,” reports correspondent, reporting Fedorov’s words.

CSKA, with 52 points in 46 matches, is in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
