Former Dynamo Moscow striker Maxim Tandiogenov spoke about a conversation with his parents after the Russian team’s victory over the Canadian team in the final of the 1999 World Junior Championship.
The Russian team beat Canada in overtime with a score of 3:2 in this final.
“An agent who already had a cell phone approached me directly in the locker room. He gave me the phone and I immediately called Mom and Dad. Naturally, he called a regular city number. They were sitting at home and already knew about everything, since the agent managed to inform them. They congratulated me, ”affinogenov said, as quoted by RT.
