“I liked playing in Avangard, but in Metallurg it’s a little easier for me” – Geraskin

Metallurgist forward Igor Geraskin admitted that he likes the playing system of the Magnitogorsk club more than that of Omsk Avangard.

In December, the 25-year-old hockey player joined the team “Metallurgy” following a three-way trade involving Avangard and Ak Bars Kazan.

– Andrew Vladimirovich [Разин] He uses me in roughly the same way at Metallurg and at Severstal. For me, all his requirements are clear, I have known them for a long time. No problem. Is his hockey more enjoyable to play? The question has a bit of an asterisk (laughs). I also enjoyed playing in Avangard, if that’s what you mean. Yes, we had to rebuild there, because the team plays according to a different system. But for me it wasn’t a problem. In Magnitogorsk it is a little easier for me, after all, I played this hockey for five years in Severstal,” Geraskin is quoted in the Championship.

After the exchange, Geraskin managed to play four matches for Magnitogorsk, in which he scored 3 (1+2) points. For Avangard, he scored five goals and provided 10 assists in 42 matches.
