Nizhny Novgorod attacker “Torpedo” Vasily Atanasov said he was in contact with representatives of some NHL clubs.
This season, the 21-year-old played 43 games in the KHL and scored 39 (19+20) points. Atanasov went undrafted by NHL teams.
“For three years I had conversations with representatives of several teams, but they chose other promising guys. I have nothing against that. Now I’m also in contact with some NHL teams, but not for the draft. Of course, I can’t reveal specific names.
We are talking about various cooperation options, for example, working in a training camp. For now I have a valid contract with Torpedo and I am focusing on playing for Nizhny Novgorod. I’m not looking that far into the future yet,” Atanasov said, as quoted by RT.
