Moscow “Dynamo” defeated Minsk “Dynamo” during the home match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
The match ended with a score of 4:1 (0:0, 2:1, 2:0). The hosts scored goals from Egor Rimashevsky, Daniil Pylenkov, Jordan Weal and Nikita Gusev, who also registered three assists. Dmitry Korobov scored for the Minsk team.
After this match, Gusev totaled 70 points (19 goals and 51 assists). The striker set Dynamo’s goal record for a regular season and updated the club’s record for the number of assists during the regular season.
Alexei Kudashov’s team scored 74 points and qualified for the KHL playoffs ahead of schedule; the “blue and white” occupy second place in the Western Conference standings. Dynamo Minsk, led by Dmitry Kvartalnov, is eighth with 51 points.
The Moscow team will host the capital’s Spartak in the next match on January 23, the day before the Minsk team will play with SKA in St. Petersburg.
