According to the Arizona press service, this team became the first in NHL history to score a power play goal without making a single shot on the opposing goal while having a power play during the game.
Malkin scored his 1,267th career regular season point (486 goals, 781 assists) to move into 39th place in league history, passing Jean Ratel.
