The author of the “masterpiece” is one of the most famous Russian hockey players, Evgeniy Malkin. At the end of the match, which ended in the defeat of the Penguins with a score of 2:3, the representative of the country of the aggressor and his teammate Kris Letang, playing a delayed penalty with an empty net, left by the goalkeeper who Tristan Jarry , did not settle and scored themselves.

Letang passed the ball to the 37-year-old Russian. But he waved his stick clumsily and lost control of the puck, sending it into his own goal.

Remember that according to the rules of hockey there can be no own goals. Therefore, the goal was credited to Coyotes forward Lawson Cruz, who was the last to handle the puck from the Arizona hockey players before Pittsburgh took it.

As a result, Pittsburgh missed another goal and lost to Arizona 2:5.
