Hockey agent Alexey Dementyev believes that the Russian goaltender New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin will demonstrate a high level of play during the NHL playoffs, despite moral pressure.
This season, Shesterkin played in 30 NHL regular season games, 19 of which he helped the club win. The goalkeeper has 90.2% of saved shots.
— Igor has always been and remains a playoff player, on whom no moral stress, obligatory victory or missed goal influenced him. He always showed moral calm and confidence, which was transmitted to the players on his team. Therefore, I am confident that an unfortunate stage of the game will not affect the overall statistics of his career. Igor still has a lot of time ahead of him. And we will believe that everything will grow together and everything will turn out well,” Dementyev was quoted as saying by the Championship.
The Rangers are third in the Eastern Conference standings with 60 points.
