Moscow Hockey Club “Spartacus” condolences on the death of ex-football coach “Spartak” George Yartsev .
Yartsev’s death at the age of 75 became known earlier on Friday.
“We mourn with the whole ‘red and white’ family,” the post read.
As a football player, Yartsev, together with Spartak, became the champion of the USSR in 1979. In the role of the coach of the “red-white” he won the gold medals of the Russian championship in 1996 .
During his coaching career, Yartsev worked for Krasnaya Presnya, Spartak, Rotor, Torpedo and the Russian national team. The specialist was twice recognized as Coach of the Year by the RFU in 1996 and 2003.
