Athletistic / Hockey. The management of Khabarovsk “Amur” intends to significantly increase the team’s salary fund for the 2024/2025 season. The Far East is ready to increase the amount spent on hockey players’ salaries by one and a half times.
As Sport-Express reports, starting next season, Amur will be able to count on 900 million rubles in salaries. At the moment, the KHL salary cap is limited to this amount. Note that Amur’s payroll now amounts to around 650 million rubles.
In the summer of 2023, the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, set the club with the task of winning the Gagarin Cup by 2026.
“Amur” after 54 matches scored 53 points and occupies 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Khabarovsk team is three points behind Neftekhimik, who occupies 8th place in the East, with two games in hand.
